Gisella Giurfa
Gisella Giurfa, studied at the National Conservatory of Music in Lima, Peru, specializing in percussion, had private lessons with great drummers and percussionists of the country.
She lived 9 years in Nagoya – Japan, being a performer, session musician and teacher. She also dedicated her time to the diffusion of the Afro-Peruvian cajon in different festivals.
Since that year she is drummer of Gian Marco, Kanaku y el Tigre, Denisse Shashiki.
She is a drum teacher at the Upc University. Co-founder of the first rock camp for girls in Peru, second in South America: Warmi rock camp, non-profit.
She has participated in a recent recording in West Lake studios, la, california, with Gian Marco.
He participated in a great concert with the famous tenor Juan Diego Flores, considered the successor of Pavarotti, held at the national stadium in Lima, Peru, 2015.
He was part of the band of musicians playing drums, timbal and cajon in “The voice Peru” and “The voice kids Peru” in 2015.
His life was divided in Peru and Japan, and taking advantage of the strong influence he has but with African rhythms, he has as a future project, put together a duo show with Denisse Shashiki, fusing African roots music with Asian roots.
