    Hugo Alcazar

    Drummer, Percussionist, Composer and Educator. He was nominated for "Grammy Awards 2010" with "AUREA" project Afro-Peruvian jazz from renowned American pianist Geoffrey Keezer.
     
    He studied in the specialty of Percussion at the National Conservatory of Music and has a specialization Diploma in Music Pedagogy at the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia and Bachelor of Education majoring in music at the University of Orval Art in agreement with the Faculty Pontifical and Civil theology of Lima.
    He teaches percussion at different institutions of Lima as the USMP Art Institute, PUCP School of Music and the School of Music UPC. In 2008, 2009 and 2010 was consecutively considered "The Best Latin Jazz Drum Kit Player" by Latin Jazz Corner (USA) as best Latin jazz drummer of the year.
